Before I start, it's important to set up parameters for how this experiment is going to go down... And I want to be held to these!
So here are the RULES:
- I will watch all 600+ movies on DVD in one year. This excludes television shows on DVD and movies on VHS - 'cause that would just be ridiculous.
- Movies will be watched in alphabetical order.
- If a movie is obtained with a title beginning with a letter I have already completed, that DVD will be immediately entered into the queue to be watched.
- Every movie must be reviewed here, on this blog.
- If at any time I choose to watch a movie out of order, it doesn't count.
- The year-long period will begin October 1, 2010 and end September 30, 2011.
- Movies can be watched at any time and with anyone... so long as I'm sitting in front of that television.
- "The" or "A" or "An" don't count!
- Movies packaged together will be watched together, using the first movie as the alphabetical indicator. This will prevent confusion later on and keep me from accidentally forgetting to go back and watch the second or third movie on a disc.
- The movies watched MUST be OUR physical copy of the movie. That's the whole point.
- Television mini-series and documentaries will be excluded. Only theatrical releases will be viewed... but don't worry, that will take up plenty of time on its own.
